Moss Bag Level 2 Class
Classes booked with 49 Design Academy are non-refundable. If you cannot make it to the class you schedule, we can help you get scheduled for another class of equal or lesser value. This is a level two class.
Moss Bags were used to keep babies warm and feeling secure, like in a womb. Moss bags were called that because historically moss was used in place of diapers because of it's highly absorbent qualities. The moss bag you will learn in this class is from Cree Artist, Jin Haynes. It contains a cotton shell with a soft fleece lining, with moose hide ties. You'll get to choose your fabrics from our in-store selection. As a matter of policy, we encourage anyone using a moss bag to always use it correctly, and NEVER leave children unattended.
Our classes are meant to enrich your understanding of Indigenous culture. If you are an Indigenous entrepreneur, we encourage you to use the knowledge you learn in our classes to enhance your skill set to make your business better.
