J. Nathan Rainy Chief, owner of 49 Design, is the descendant of several Residential School survivors, and he himself went to a Residential day school. At 49 Design, we honor those students who endured the tragic legacy of residential schools with our Orange Campaign items. This item is part of our Orange Campaign and all of the profits will be donated towards one of 49 Design's Indigenous community-based initiatives.

Application Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fabric: Preheat the garment for 8 seconds to remove any moisture.
2. Set the Temperature:
   • For polyester or polyester blends: Set the heat press or iron to 260–280°F.
   • For cotton or cotton blends: Set the heat press or iron to 280–300°F.
3. Place the Transfer: Lay the floral transfer on the fabric and cover with parchment paper.
4. Press and Peel: Apply medium pressure for 8–10 seconds, then carefully remove the transfer paper backing to avoid bubbling. Be careful not to move side to side if using an iron, pressing only downward and lifting straight up, ensuring to get each part of the heat transfer in this way. If you move side to side, it may squeeze the glue out of the transfer and cause excess glue around the edges, and will also decrease the life of the transfer.
5. Second Press: For best results, press the garment again for another 8–10 seconds with parchment paper to seal the design.
